Bedfordshire & Huntingdonshire<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

My Favell family can be traced directly back to Huntingdonshire in the 1760s.\u00a0 They came across from Bedfordshire and before that, Hertfordshire.\u00a0 In the late 19th century the downturn in demand for agricultural labour led many to head towards London or north to Bradford.\u00a0 After the second world war, some went full circle, heading back out to the new towns like Stevenage.\u00a0 Like many others, some were drawn to emigate to Canada, the US and Australia.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Lincolnshire<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

There is a distinct family that originate around the Lincoln and Boston areas.\u00a0 They may have originated further north from Yorkshire, or across from Huntingdonshire.\u00a0 Another theory is that they may have come across from Holland bringing their knowledge of land drainage and reclamation to the fens.\u00a0 Samuel Favell, a member of the common council in London who was Buried in Bunhill Fields in 1830 claimed to be ‘of Flemish descent’.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

There was a large Favell family with connections across Sheffield in the 19th century.\u00a0 Some had origins in County Durham, where many were still based.\u00a0 After the First World War one of the Sheffield families relocated to Cornwall.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
