Nelson Samuel Favell

Nelson Samuel Favell – Private QX15648 AIF 2/15 Battalion, Australian Infantry died on Tuesday, 1st September 1942 aged 27 as a result of wounds he received during a conflict on the Hill of Jesus at El Alemein, Egypt.

The son of Samuel and Ingar Myra Favell, of Cairns in Queensland, Australia, and husband of Thelma Anastasia, Nelson was a second generation Australian whose Grandparents had emigrated from Boston in Lincolnshire. Nelson is buried in the El Alamein War Cemetery in Egypt.
